Shutter boxes for construction: thermal efficiency and integrated aesthetics

In every new-build or renovation project, the details that remain unseen are often the ones that most influence the comfort of a home. DISPER’s built-in shutter boxes are designed to be integrated into the wall during the construction phase, providing a discreet, functional and highly efficient solution. Their installation helps eliminate thermal bridges, reduce exterior noise and optimise energy efficiency without compromising the design of the facade.

Manufactured with high-strength materials and excellent thermal performance, our built-in shutter boxes are compatible with aluminium or PVC roller shutter systems as well as stackable shutter systems. Their versatile design also adapts to different opening configurations and wall thicknesses, achieving a clean and aesthetically consistent solution. The result is a more insulated, quieter and comfortable space, prepared to meet the demands of the Mediterranean climate and everyday living.

Superior thermal and acoustic insulation

Thanks to their structure with insulating materials, these shutter boxes prevent energy loss, minimise thermal bridges and help maintain a stable indoor temperature. They also help reduce noise coming from outside, improving overall home comfort.

Complete architectural integration

Designed to remain completely concealed within the wall, built-in shutter boxes preserve the exterior aesthetics of the building and allow for a clean, uniform finish, with no visible elements that disrupt the harmony of the facade.

Compatible with all types of shutters

They adapt perfectly to the most common roller shutter systems, whether in roll-formed aluminium or extruded PVC, as well as stackable shutters, offering maximum flexibility for architects, builders and developers.

Ready for motorization and easy maintenance

The shutter boxes allow motorised systems to be installed from the very beginning of the project and are designed to provide easy access to the internal mechanism for maintenance, without the need for construction work or complications.

Cajaislant DISPER:

Certified thermal insulation

Manufactured with high-density expanded polystyrene (EPS) (40 kg/m³), with a thermal conductivity of U = 0.035 W/mK. The complete shutter box system achieves certified values of U = 0.5–1.69 W/m²K, making it an ideal solution for projects with high energy-efficiency requirements.

Advanced acoustic insulation

Reduces exterior noise by more than 40 dB, according to tests certified by Applus, significantly improving indoor comfort in urban or noisy environments.

Reinforced lintel and solid structure

It incorporates a double perforated galvanised steel plate to reinforce the lintel and aluminium profiles at its base, ensuring a robust and durable installation. Certified to withstand loads of up to 1936 N without additional reinforcement over spans of 2 metres.

In-house manufacturing and immediate availability

Our own manufacturing model, with stock readily available and the possibility of full customisation of dimensions to adapt to the specific requirements of each project.

Shadow DISPER:

Designed for external venetian blinds and Passivhaus standards

A specialised box for external venetian blinds with a high level of thermal insulation that meets Passivhaus standards. Ideal for sustainable construction and high-performance architectural envelopes.

High-precision German manufacturing

Manufactured by Beck+Heun, a leader in enclosure and shading solutions, using high-density EPS (40 kg/m³) and a self-supporting steel structure, ensuring both lightness and strength at the same time.

Easy installation on site

Its light weight allows it to be handled by a single person. It is anchored to the slab using steel straps and lateral supports, enabling a quick and secure installation.

Great dimensional and functional versatility

Available in a standard width of 280 mm and stacking heights of 260, 310, 360 and 440 mm, or custom-made. Suitable for complex geometries such as curved façades, bay windows or angled structures. Compatible with both motorised operation and manual control by crank.
